While we're on the subject of the wonderful Thompsons...
Today I have food on the brain (who am I kidding - when do I not?) so I thought I'd share one of my all time favorite recipes with you. We call them "Lucy's Famous Ham Sandwiches." Lucy Thompson is not only a great little cook and baker, she also happens to be Eva's Mom AND one of MY Mom's best friends. Matching nails!
I've whipped up these little sandwiches for baby showers, bachelorette parties, picnics, dinner parties...they're always ALWAYS a hit and I inevitably receive multiple emails the day after - Can you send me the recipe to those nummy sandwiches?
Buttery. Sweet. Salty. Gooey. Cheesy. Uh...Hammy?
