It has been nonstop planes-trains-and-automobiles-madness from the moment we took off for Europe. All worth it, of course. And now that we´ve reached Barcelona, there is less jet lag and early starts and language restrictions. We are relaxed. To say the least.
Food has certainly been at the top of both of our priority list. Sangria and cheese and baguettes and paninis and beer and pan au chocolate and olives and vino and falafel and groooowwwll, my stomach says. Constantly. While the waistline streeetcchesss. But, seriously, who could really care at a time like this. Not I!
Speaking of food, as far as eye candy goes...it´s been so refreshing and inspiring to see what fashions Euros are sporting this summer. Harem/parachute/genie pants are everywhere you look, and I must say that I had anxiously tucked away the MC Hammer style pair I bought a few weeks back but will busting them out when I return. Without fear! Also, striped shirts all over Paris. As expected. A lot of BLACK in London and Paris. Men are rolling up their pants at the cuffs. Women with short hair cuts. Loafers. Me like.
Thinking of our family and friends from both far and wide as we take this journey. We feel so lucky to have you. We feel so lucky. Period. xo

Excited. Scared. Flustered.
Leaving in just a few hours for a full day of travels.
First stop: London. Then onto Paris, Barcelona, Italy...
Some planned. Some not-so-planned.
Going to remind myself to stay IN THE NOW.
Would love to come back with glam photos in front of the Eiffel Tower.
But I have khakis, t-shirts, flats packed. Not one pair of heels.
I guess there's been enough glamour for one month.
Will share photos and -hopefully- a few adventurous tales when wereturn!

Kirsten sent me this peek at the wedding photos yesterday.
How grateful I am, already, that she documented this occasion.
Really don't know how I'll wait for the rest!
*Leaving for our European travels in two days. And up until this morning, we didn't have a thing but our flights booked/planned. Now we've at least begun to cover Paris.
**Speaking of Paris, I've been looking into attending an underground/secret dinner party while we're there. Have ya'll heard of these meetings? I think it's the coolest idea and have sent many emails...hoping someone "bites" before we board the plane. Get in my belly!

A few from the Minnesota/Wisconsin leg of our travels...
Post-Wedding Backyard BBQ Bash in Stillwater, MN.
ASU/UW Tailgate Luncheon on Rehearsal Day.
Haley's Wedding at Coon's Franklin Lodge in Woodruff, WI.
Love the midwest and the lovely ladies that hail from there!

The day before her wedding, Haley and I ran down to the dock in between rain showers to take a few shots of her in one of her many vintage getups. She is always so much fun to photograph.
An absolute natural.
The weekend was amazing. Every last detail and moment. Will share more in the next few days when we are back in LA have some down time pre-Europe.

It has been quite the week, back home in Minnesota. An amazing post-wedding backyard bbq (pics to come), strolls in downtown Stillwater, Twins game at the brand new stadium, and a LOT of quality family and friends time. The best. But never enough.
