Like Whoa.

We are gearing up for family to arrive in town for Turkey Day - it will be the very first we've hosted at our California home. I have already semi-set and decorated the buffet table (post-its labeling each serving dish, yes) and will be sharing asap. The brain is currently bananas with work and life and more! But all is GOOD. Riding the momentum and trying to enjoy the chaos.

* Thanks to SNL this weekend, I have a newfound love for Anne Hathaway.
Also think the new chick (aka Miley) is pretty dang awesome.
If you missed, check out some skits HERE.

**Took Ari HERE for his Birthday Dinner this weekend.
Uh-Maze-Ing.

Be. Back. Soon.

Holiday Pics at Paramount Ranch.

It was nearly impossible to pick just a few shots to post for this "peek."
A family too photogenic for words.
And LOOK how much the kiddos have grown in just a year...
2009's photo session was on the beach.
So, this year, they opted for a new scene up at Paramount Ranch.
Way cool. Way fun. We love you, Ks!

All About the Cobb.

Our friend Joe popped by on his bike this morning.
He'd worked up an appetite on the ride over so I
whipped up a little impromptu brunch.
Cobb was calling my name.

6 Eggs
2 Tbs Cottage Cheese (for fluff)
1/2 Chicken Breast
1 semi-thick slice of salami - diced and pan-fried
1/2 Heirloom tomato
1/2 Cup Gorgonzola
1/2 Avocado
1/4 Red Pepper
1/4 White Onion
Mushroom
Garlic Salt
Pepper
(this fed three peeps)

Saute onion and mushroom in pan.
Whisk eggs, cottage cheese, salt, pepper.
Add to pan. Cook.
Transfer to bowl.
Toss in the remaining veggies, meat, and cheese.
Eat.

Have the happiest Sunday!
We're off to a photo session with THIS family.
Wayyyy excited.

kfd designs.

Do you ever stop by THIS blog?

I do. Every day. And I'm inspired. Every day. Kristen makes me want to take my house, shake it upside down, paint it anew, and throw in a quirky accessory or three or forty two. She has the ability to take a chair you'd see in a dumpster and transform it into a chair you'd find at the home of Jonathan Adler.

Kristen's Furniture Makeovers HERE.
House Tour HERE.
Painting Portfolio HERE.

A truly innovative and artistic machine.

Check out THIS post about a print she recently put up in her family room.
The marbled masterpiece came from a paper store. Sheet of paper + frame from IKEA. Seriously??
Must copy asap.
Perhaps find mine via HERE?

*Thank you, K. And keep on bringing it on. I pray that one day soon, the stars will align and the Schneids will be in Hotlanta Knock-Knock-ing on the Davis' door. Then you will teach me everything you know. Please?*

Coco Cool.

Sting's daughter, Coco Sumner.
I'm loving her music.
And the perfectly punk look.
