Dear Meggie,

You should see the pictures I poured through back home this weekend of you as a brand spankin' new baby and me and you when we met at the hospital boy was I happy not one of those jealous siblings but seriously so very happy to have a little sister with big brown eyes and a teeny turned up nose. It was great you did funny things like eat through the middles of slices of bread and started riding a bike practically before you could walk and slept walk daddyy want a hot dooggg (p.s. remember those weird but delicious cheesy hot dogs they fed us) and had the quietest and sweetest demeanor but a d0-not-mess-with-me-temper aka block thrown at head and you probably let me drag you around and dress you up one too many millions times or play school or whatever it was...you must have gotten sick of it huh well I know you did but I appreciate it I do because what would I have done without the perfect partner in crime? Anywayyyys, remember I was older but still wanted to sleep on the bottom bunk together and we'd laugh and probably get yelled at go to BED and make sparks in our blanket and fart and laugh more and who knows what else now today despite the miles apart we have the same sense of humor and one of a kind candor along with a brother that made us three we will kill a Newsies number or entire musical just ask us for a serenade really ask I dare you. My sister Meggie you should know that we all see you are so strong you are a navy wife and you stand by your sailor while he is at sea I cannot wait to one day meet babies with those honest eyes and rosy cheeks and maybe just a little bit of height do you think...will they wear funky clothes and will Dan roll his eyes and laugh or will they only eat tacos only tacos and no fish no FISH I say! Until that day comes you will be the best auntie to this little baby rolling around kicking me from the inside out she must be tough maybe just like you that wouldn't be too bad at all. No it would not because no matter what the weather you have always been there for me and I will always be there for you that is what sisters do without you I am not so sure who I would be - and please I do not really want to know. Forever and always and up and down side to side I love you NOW this is your run-on-sentence-song... Cream cheese puffs or not I hope you had the best birthday yet twenty seven and the adventure has just begun.

It's a....

GIRL!!

We had the most exciting appointment this morning.

Baby was curled up and sleepy and had the hiccups. Heart pounding. Love her.

TOMORROW - I turn 30. And we're off to Minnesota for the weekend.

I'm determined to come back to the blogging world next week.
