MN in CA.

New babies are here.  Mom and Dad are making their way to Cali.  Megan and Dan are not far behind them.  Ankles are healing.  We've had family and friends in town this past week.  More to come this fall.  Weddings.  Birthdays.  Photo shoots.  My cup runneth over with happiness, peace, and gratitude.  Runneth.  Over.

A few weeks ago, I found out via Facebook that friends from my hometown in Minnesota had booked an impromptu trip to California with their three boys to serve as a last-hurrah-before-school-starts-vacation of sorts. We connected in the days before they boarded the plane for the West Coast and  scheduled a photo shoot to capture one of this family's very first visits to the ocean as five.  How incredibly special this evening on the beach was.  The sunset, the weather, the reunion, the boys chasing birds and each other.  Just a lovely night.  A once-again-reminder as to why this job is it for me.
